Dolmen de Crucuno

One of the largest dolmens in Morbihan.
The Crucuno monument is a large dolmen: the remains of a passage grave, of which only the burial chamber now survives. There were still remains of the access passage in the last century, as can be seen from the writings of researchers at that time. Today neither the passage nor the tumulus remain, but the massive burial chamber has been preserved. The large stone ceiling is 6m long and 1m20 thick. It is thought to weigh some 40 tonnes and is supported by 9 granite pillars.
The monument’s shape embodies the popular representation of a dolmen. Over time it may have been used as a stable and as a barn for the village.
It has been listed as a Historic Monument since 1889.
