Dolmen du Luffang

An angled gallery grave.
The Luffang dolmen is an angled gallery grave. The long grave features a bend, separating the passage from the burial chamber. There are no longer any top stones over the passage and end chamber, but the shape of the tumulus around this monument can still be seen. Like other similar graves, Luffang gallery grave dates back to the end of the 4th millennium BC (around 3000 BC). The monument had a fine engraved stone, which for conservation reasons was moved by Z. Le Rouzic. It is now preserved in Carnac Museum, and is the inspiration for the museum’s logo.
Luffang gallery grave was listed as a Historic Monument in 1938.
